Abstract

This study aims to apply the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method in the scholarship selection process at PKBM Bintang Tunas Mulia.  A key issue identified in the previous selection process was the absence of a structured assessment system, which resulted in decision that were often subjective and poorly documented.  The decision support system developed in this study is expected to enhance the effectiveness of the selection process by providing assessment results that are more objective, transparent, and measurable results. Through the application of the SAW method, each criterion can be assigned a weight according to its level of importance, thereby producing a fairer and more rational decision in determining scholarship recipients. The   criteria used in the assessment include learners’ age, parents’ income, and average academic scores. Based on calculation results, the highest preference value obtained was 0.8333, indicating that this alternative is the most eligible to receive the scholarship.
