Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Siswa Terbaik SMP Trisoko dengan Metode Simple Additive Weighting

A Decision Support System (DSS) is a widely used tool for providing the best choice from available alternatives. DSS implementation uses methods in calculating alternatives, one of which is Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) is a calculation method that uses specified weightings and criteria. In addition, the SAW method is easy to use. The case study in this research is Trisoko Junior High School, which needs to determine its best students. Therefore, Trisoko Junior High School needs a DSS to determine its best students. However, there is a need to process calculations quickly, so an application is needed to process them. The application developed is a desktop-based one using the Java programming language to provide DSS solutions to Trisoko Junior High School. The DSS method used is SAW, and based on the interview results, it was concluded that the criteria used are average scores, extracurricular scores, number of absences, and attitude. The conclusion based on the results of developing the DSS application using the SAW method is that it makes it easier for Trisoko Junior High School to determine the best students.
