Implementasi Sistem Informasi Posyandu pada Kampung Sairo Distrik Manokwari Utara

Abstract

Along with the development of information technology, it opens up great opportunities to improve the quality of public health services, including the Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) service. It is known that the implementation of Posyandu in Sairo Village, North Manokwari District, still experiences problems when managing maternal and toddler data, which is done conventionally, thus affecting the effectiveness of services and the delivery of health information. This research has a role in implementing a web-based Posyandu information system that can provide solutions for Posyandu cadres and health workers in the process of recording, managing, and reporting toddler health data in a structured and accurate manner. The method used to build this system is the Waterfall method, which is classified into the stages of analysis, design, coding, implementation, and maintenance. This system is implemented with the PHP programming language with the CodeIgniter framework and a MySQL database. The results of the research lead to the developed Posyandu information system being able to replace manual recording processes with digital ones, simplify the management of toddler data, immunizations, and health checks, and speed up the reporting process. In addition, this system increases the effectiveness and efficiency of Posyandu cadres' performance in helping the community obtain health services. Thus, the implementation of this online-based information system is expected to provide a solution to improve the quality of maternal and child health services in Sairo Village, North Manokwari District.
