Analisis Mindful Parenting Orang Tua dalam Membangun Kesehatan Mental dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa di SMAN 6 Bogor

This study aims to describe the implementation of mindful parenting among parents in supporting children’s mental health and its contribution to students’ learning motivation at SMAN 6 Bogor. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, structured interviews, and documentation involving 15 parents, 15 students, and 4 guidance and counseling teachers selected through purposive sampling. The findings reveal that mindful parenting characterized by full awareness, empathy, and non-judgmental acceptance creates a psychologically safe and emotionally stable family environment. This condition enhances children’s emotional regulation, self-confidence, and learning engagement. Parents who practice mindful communication and self-reflection build stronger emotional connections with their children, positively influencing students’ learning motivation. The study emphasizes the importance of mindful parenting in fostering emotional balance, promoting positive communication, and nurturing learning enthusiasm through conscious support and genuine affection.
