Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena siswa kelas X SMK 3 Perguruan Cikini yang mengalami kesulitan konsentrasi belajar akibat terlalu fokus pada smartphone dan cenderung mengabaikan lingkungan sosialnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan perilaku phubbing berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode komparatif. Populasi berjumlah 390 siswa, dan sampel sebanyak 300 siswa (150 laki-laki dan 150 perempuan) dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket dengan skala Guttman pada variabel perilaku phubbing, memiliki reliabilitas tinggi (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,818). Data dianalisis menggunakan uji independent sample t-test karena berdistribusi normal. Hasil menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,022 (< 0,05), menandakan adanya perbedaan signifikan perilaku phubbing antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Rata-rata perilaku phubbing siswa perempuan lebih tinggi. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi masukan bagi sekolah dan guru BK dalam merancang strategi efektif untuk mengatasi perilaku phubbing.
