Perbandingan Minat Belajar dan Keterampilan Proses Sains Peserta Didik Melalui Penerapan Praktikum Riil dan Praktikum Virtual Materi Suhu dan Kalor Kelas XI di SMAN 10 Gowa

This study aims to: (1) describe the learning interest and science process skills of students participating in real laboratory practices in class XI MIPA at SMAN 10 Gowa; (2) describe the learning interest and science process skills of students participating in virtual laboratory practices; (3) analyze the differences in learning interest between students in real and virtual laboratory practices; and (4) analyze the differences in science process skills between students in the two types of practices. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a the matching-only post-test control group design. The population consisted of all class XI MIPA students at SMAN 10 Gowa, totaling 221 students across seven classes. The sample included 40 students from two classes selected using the matching sampling technique. The research instruments were a learning interest questionnaire and a science process skills test. Data analysis was carried out descriptively (mean, standard deviation, and categorization) and inferentially using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test and the Mann-Whitney U hypothesis test. The results showed that the average learning interest of students in both real and virtual laboratory practices was in the moderate category. Meanwhile, students’ science process skills in real laboratory practices were generally in the high category, whereas in virtual practices they were in the low category. Hypothesis testing revealed no significant difference in learning interest, but there was a significant difference in science process skills between students participating in real and virtual laboratory practices.
