Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors causing learning difficulties in Physics among Grade XI students at SMA PGRI Ge'tengan. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, questionnaires, and interviews. It is expected that these three methods will complement each other to achieve the desired results. The internal factors contributing to students' learning difficulties are: low understanding (96% of respondents), boredom with the material (59% of student responses), and low proficiency in the topics of dynamics and rigid body equilibrium (88% of respondents). According to student responses, the difficulties they face include: material that is hard to understand, excessive use of formulas, quick loss of interest, and a lack of motivation to engage with the lessons, resulting in low interest in the subject matter.\External factors of learning difficulties experienced by students include 40% of respondents who are unable to manage their study time because they prioritize using their mobile phones over studying. Another contributing factor is being occupied with helping their parents.
