Aims and Scope

JOR: JOURNAL OF RETAIL is a peer-reviewed scientific open access journal. The journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality articles concerned with empirical research, theory development, and innovative program applications related to retailing, marketing strategies, and consumer environment.

Our journal is committed to preparing both academicians and practitioners to apply their understanding of the retail landscape with high responsibility. We aim to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical execution in various settings, including corporate environments, government agencies, universities, and broader global market contexts.

The scope of JOR includes, but is not limited to:

  • Business Communication in Retail: Internal and external communication strategies, corporate communication, professional negotiation, salesmanship, and crisis communication in a retail context.

  • Retail Strategy & Management: Store operations, branding, pricing strategies, and retail innovation.

  • Digital Transformation: E-commerce, omnichannel retailing, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in retail communication.

  • Consumer Behavior & Interaction: Shopping psychology, customer experience, service quality, and interpersonal communication between staff and customers.

  • Supply Chain & Logistics: Distribution management, sustainable sourcing, and business-to-business (B2B) communication within the supply chain.

Authors are requested to prepare a manuscript in accordance with the Instructions for preparation of manuscript and then to follow the Author Guidelines for submission.
