Abstract

The purpose of this research is to learn morals, develop emotional intelligence, and develop language and literary skills. The research method used is a qualitative method, namely the researcher takes a useful approach to understand and explain complex phenomena through in-depth interpretation of data obtained non-numerically. The results achieved in this picture story book, the main target is teachers of kindergarten children as storytelling material and in it will convey moral messages and responsibility. Furthermore, for children who can help in the learning process and character development. This picture story book helps in the development of reading skills, visual comprehension, and language literacy. The stories in it often build emotional connections between readers and characters, thus helping in the development of empathy. Many children have minimal reading because they prefer playing with cellphones and watching YouTube. From what they watch can cause negative things to happen, such as imitating bad behavior or saying impolite words. Therefore, this book will be made as interesting as possible to attract the attention of children in training an interest in reading from an early age and learning the moral values ​​contained in this picture book story.
